Yamaha BD-S667 Blu-Ray DVD Player (Australian Model)

Styled to match Yamaha’s 67 series of AV receivers this high performance BD-Live Blu-Ray disc player can decode all of the HD audio formats, from Dolby and DTS, ensuring you get the highest quality audio and video that Blu Ray can produce.

Features:

Superior image quality

Blu-Ray players give you the ability to have up to four times the video quality that DVD offers. It is also the perfect match to take advantage of your new high definition display. With Yamaha Blu-Ray, picture quality takes on a whole new level of realism!

SCENE function. Making it easier!

Yamaha’s proprietary SCENE function allows you to easily engage with what you want to watch. By simply pressing the Blu-Ray button, for example, your amplifier will turn on, change the input to Blu-Ray and automatically go to a 7 channel audio mode. It will also turn your Blu-Ray player on, and leave it there waiting for a disc to be inserted. We just want to make your listening experience easier!

USB and Ethernet, for all types of content

The BD-S667 features a USB port on the front, as well as an Ethernet socket so you can enjoy your stored music, movies and photos without having to burn them to disc. Simply navigate to them using the BD-S667’s on-screen menu – it’s that simple.

Yamaha sound quality

With a Yamaha Blu-Ray player matched with a Yamaha receiver sound takes on a profound sense of depth. Audio tracks on Blu-Ray discs can be like-for-like identical to the studio master. With a Yamaha Blu-Ray player and amplifier, you can re-live the experience of the theatre in your home.

A perfect match!

Yamaha Blu-Ray players aesthetically match all Yamaha 67 series receivers. From the width of the player, the colour and the front display are all designed to ensure your player fits in perfectly with you current setup.

Performance:

BD Live

BluRay disc titles which are BD-Live enabled can instruct your player to access the internet and download additional bonus content, such as deleted scenes or commentary.

Dolby True HD

Dolby Digital soundtracks have provided great sound from DVD’s and TV broadcasts for over a decade, although Dolby Digital is a compressed format. In the age of High Definition BluRay and HDMI, Dolby Laboratories have developed Dolby TrueHD which delivers uncompressed, full-bandwidth digital sound which is bit-for-bit identical to the studio master. The result – a completely immersive and awe-inspiring audio experience.

DLNA

The Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) ensures that all components marked with the DLNA logo comply with their guidelines and recommendations regarding network connectivity. This includes streaming of music from NAS drives and PCs.

DTS

DTS provides great sound from DVDs, although to save space on disc it is compressed which sacrifices audio quality to some degree. DTS-HD Master Audio takes advantage of the vastly superior storage capability of BluRay disc and is capable of delivering 7.1 channel audio which is bit-for-bit identical to the studio master.

HDMI

HDMI combines Audio and Video data into a single cable, which not only simplifies your Home Theatre setup but also lets you take advantage of the stunning quality that High Definition Audio and Video offers.
