Yamaha’s RX-V467 allows you to take advantage of HDMI ver1.4 with 3D support and Audio Return Channel. With HD audio support and iPod connectivity via the optional YDS11 or YDS12, the RX-V467 offers all the latest technology at a very affordable price. The RX-V467 is ideal for today and ready for tomorrow.
Features
700 W Max!
With a power increase over the RX-V367, the RX-V467 will deliver more power to your speakers, enabling a better soundstage. This helps to create better sound effects when watching movies and improved dynamics for music.
Audio Return Channel
HDMI ver1.4 not only includes 3D support but also the Audio Return Channel. This means that you don't have to connect an optical cable from your TV to your RX-V467 receiver to get sound through your system rather than the television speakers. The audio is sent from the TV’s HDMI input to the output of the receiver, so all that is needed is one HDMI cable from the receiver to the TV.
iPOD Connectivity
The RX-V467 is the first receiver in Yamaha’s range that features iPod/iPhone connectivity via Yamaha’s optional dock. This will not only play your music, movies and photos through the receiver, but will allow you control your iPod via the RX-V467’s remote, all while charging your iPod.
3D Compatible
The RX-V467 supports 3D transmission. So if you have a 3D Blu-ray player and a 3D television, the RX-V467 will support this signal from Blu-ray to TV. Having 3D compatible AV receiver such as the RX-V467 ensures you will experience the quality audio incorporated with the movie while watching the exciting 3D imagery.
Simple, Customised Setup.
You don’t have to be a technology buff to ensure you get the most out of your home theatre system. The RX-V467’s YPAO technology allows you to customise the receiver to your room to ensure you get the best possible results from your receiver. Simply plug in the YPAO microphone and the receiver will calibrate itself to the setup of your room. No messing about with connections, frequency and pressure levels, just easy, fantastic quality audio.
HD Audio Support
With built-in decoders for the latest HD Audio Formats from Dolby and DTS, Yamaha’s RX-V467 has the ability to deliver HD Audio to your speakers, identical to the studio master.
Performance
Dolby TrueHD
Dolby Digital soundtracks have provided great sound from DVD’s and TV broadcasts for over a decade, although Dolby Digital is a compressed format. In the age of High Definition BluRay and HDMI, Dolby Laboratories have developed Dolby TrueHD which delivers uncompressed, full-bandwidth digital sound which is bit-for-bit identical to the studio master. The result – a completely immersive and awe-inspiring audio experience.
192 kHz/ 24-bit DAC
After any DSP processing is completed the digital audio signal is converted back to an analogue voltage by the Digital-Analogue-Converter (DAC), ready for amplification. The higher DAC’s sample rate and bit-depth the more closely this analogue signal will resemble the original studio master signal. As a comparison, 192kHz/24-bit represents more than 6 times the data rate of a regular Audio CD.
Without lip-sync compensation the vision of somebody’s lips moving and the resulting sound happen at different times, which is a very disconcerting phenomenon. Compatible (HDMI ver1.3 and above) devices are capable of automatically correcting the timing of audio signals to compensate for your screen’s processing delay. Even if your Home Theatre components are not automatically capable of correcting any lip-sync error, all Yamaha AV Receivers have a set-and-forget manual adjustment facility.
DTS-HD High definition Master Audio
DTS provides great sound from DVDs, although to save space on disc it is compressed which sacrifices audio quality to some degree. DTS-HD Master Audio takes advantage of the vastly superior storage capability of BluRay disc and is capable of delivering 7.1 channel audio which is bit-for-bit identical to the studio master.
AdaptiveDRC
Adaptive Dynamic Range Control (DRC) allows you to hear loud and soft passages at the same volume while listening at low volumes. This is very useful for avoiding disturbance late at night, or for evening out the large volume differences between TV shows and TV ads.
ARC
When you use your TV’s inbuilt tuner to watch TV then you’ll probably want to use your AV Receiver to listen – especially if your favourite TV show is broadcast in multi-channel surround. Audio Return Channel lets your compatible TV send these audio signals ‘upstream’ into your AV Receiver using the existing HDMI cable – eliminating the need for an extra optical or coaxial cable.
